This is a big honor for the Big Mother community––CultDAO recently awarded Big Mother a hard won grant, representing the first web3 fund to embrace Big Mother’s approach to initiating the “win-win protocol on the world wide web.”

CultDAO, as a nonprofit , applies Decentralized Venture Capitalism to identify, promote, and fund projects that challenge centralization and work toward positive social changes. CULT has successfully financed 112 distinct projects, totaling almost $3M. You can read a write up about CultDAO in The Economic Times–– and in addition to their notoriety, they are one of the very few web3 projects that is making it through a lot of web3 skepticism during a true “bear” marketplace. Additionally, CultDAO has one of the most genius viral marketing campaigns and they continue unabashedly to grow in popularity, especially with the upcoming release of their Modulus protocol, a new L2 to build on top of for many new developers.

This represents a very important milestone for our community, which began “locally” in Los Angeles and has slowly grown word of mouth via direct introduction or discovery of our projects in a natural and organic fashion. CultDAO is the first community to “discover” our key projects, Aiki Wiki––The Win Win Protocol for the World Wide Web and PiP––private internet content distribution for Decentralized Autonomous Media Networks. The discovery of our projects is no easy task due to their sheer scope in development and vision.

Two members of their volunteer anonymous community, Mudra and Wastelander, discovered us on Twitter in 2022, and we engaged in direct conversations with these individuals, who were remarkably patient in deconstructing our very complex projects, which requires a lot of business and tech savvy and since then, slowly developed more relationships within their community, thanks to their relaying of our projects and rallying those in their community behind it.

Cult’s early interest in our community began with fascination with Aiki Wiki which engineering is currently being funded by their grant, in addition to PiP. Big Mother is developing a decentralized autonomous media network for web3, a private content channel that will exist in between pages of major crypto and web3 internet publishers and CultDAO is the very first community to peer the value of such a venture.

Since, many new friends and partnerships have been emerging between our communities, and it has been an honor to meet so many like minds!

Big Mother’s Studio Novita’s first “Narrative Novelty” is designed to bring critical awareness to the many design solutions of Bucky Fuller, with an emphasis on Bucky Fuller’s World Game and his concept for a global energy grid as guiding principles for web3.

For a global civilization to even consider something like Bucky’s World Game, the internet as we know it today must change, therefore our purpose is expressed simply; building and creating a fundamentally different internet than we have today, replacing web 2.0 architectures with something better.

That’s what our roadmap looks like.

Replacing web 2.0 with something better

Replacing web 2.0 means something specific for our roadmap and includes replacing personal data collection as the monetization point on the web, removing the centralized ad tech 3rd party mediation platforms, primarily controlled by Google and Facebook, with a decentralized network of internet users who become partners instead of products.

We’ve been developing for this issue since 2014 and have already consumed over $700,000 in research development. We are past the theoretical and now is time to deploy.

Bootstrapping Arts and Engineering, the BAE fund

The first change and innovation we introduce is in the area of fundraising itself, a new legal and compliant way for tech and engineering startups to raise funds outside of the influence of Wall Street, VC and Angel rounds process.

As long as that VC funded pathway exists with exits functioning as either acquisition by big tech or Wall Street IPO, any technology that would outcompete that behemoth would have to exist outside of that system.

Innovations in de-fi and fintech make this not only feasible, but obvious in many cases.

A “studio novità” generates “Narrative Novelty”, community created themes that become community treasure.

A “studio novità” is a study of novelty, combining things which have never been combined before; a spontaneous production of community storytelling that builds equity, designs and deploys technology, broadcasts a purpose, and stores and grows that value as “community treasure”, Art.

Studio Novità is built upon innovative principles in community design and engineering; decentralized systems that “do more with less”.

We can demonstrate community design that provides “crowdsourced” ephemeralization, i.e. a community spirit of “spontaneous collaboration” that is programmatic, computational, as well as viral and organic, as can be applied to a supply and demand marketplace that is consuming a creative body of work that trades in wholesale and retail.

That means Studio Novità does not need to receive funding from a centralized distributor (like a big film company) nor do any of its projects need any funding from Wall Street.

The only thing Studio Novità needs is a community of artists, designers, and engineers and an audience community that all share a purpose in common.

Our network will replace big tech’s grip on web monetization by replacing third party architecture with the internet users themselves, turning sponsored media into a true sharing economy.

How much is fives seconds of attention worth on the internet?

We introduce a new way to quantify and measure attention value on the internet and store it as a web friendly micro currency for the web! A true digital asset and web utility that allows for attention value to be stored, sold, or traded.

This stable micro-currency for the web is not only here, it’s also not a cryptocurrency.

The fourth innovation is in online consensus building; a very unique algorithm that can manage large scale online dispute, negotiation, commentary and social media interaction into mutual resolution, a “win-win” superhighway on the web that can alleviate the tension, misinformation, and toxic activities common with web 2.0.

The mission of Big Mother is an internet that watches out for everybody instead of watching, tracking, and misleading everyone.

We must address all dynamics of this problem, from Wall Street funding to Silicon Valley standardization, from data marketplaces and media consumption.
