In the pathway of Big Mother’s “let’s move quickly and fix things” is the discovery of “SmartDev3”, an emerging decentralized project in our community that functions as an international production and dev team acquisition platform that is permissionless and on chain, decentralized and globally scalable.
SmartDev3 is how Big Mother is going to scale both technology as well as media production quickly and easily, and we also of course make SmartDev3 available to anyone and everyone building on top of Big Mother or any of our partners, friends and even acquaintances.
SmartDev3’s core product is something like a hiring platform, things like Fivver or upwork, yet on chain, permissionless and tokenized.
This means that first and foremost that hires and teams can be paid in crypto, but it also means that highly talented and enthused teams can be curated at a fifth of the cost as it normally would be here in the US.
Unlike Fivver or Upwork however, SmartDev3 is not only permissionless, it is personable. This is a place to huddle, strategize, powwow and “buidl” together, delivering all the perks and benefits of a corporate setting in an entirely new decentralized structure for builders and developers, digital nomads and creators of hyperstructures.
SmartDev3 is forming out of India. The founder of SmartDev3 is Nitin Gupta who is also the creator of the ROVI Network, and is the smartest and savviest tech leader I have met in the past 15 years–– SmartDev3 engineering is lead by Gaurav Gupta who has elegantly engineered every project we’ve developed so far. They have been partners with us for more than a decade. This is one aspect of SmartDev3 that I would like to emphasize, curating customizable teams that form strong relationships over time, development teams that are trusted.
When I began my “dev” years in Los Angeles in 2012, attempting to begin tooling away at what is now ‘Aiki Wiki’, SmartDev3, then as founders of Ongraph Technologies, approached me out of enthusiasm for Aiki Wiki, and offered to work on Aiki Wiki “for free” out of their excitement. I was blown away by this offer, as I just wasted $10k on US Developers who basically could not deliver on anything.
While I was not ready to begin building Aiki Wiki then, I was funded to build other platforms, and I immediately engaged with this team in India. What made the biggest impression on me was their sheer enthusiasm for working on innovative technology. Where previously I would bump into “tech bro” culture we are familiar with in Silicon Valley, in India I found far more expertise and far more natural motivation to innovate, it was fun.
What’s more, this working relationship proved highly successful and appealing to investors, having a reliable and trusted overseas team was a relief, not just in cost, but in trust. Big Mother is introducing SmartDev3, a way for all developers and startups to have the same success we have had working with a curated dev team overseas.
Our SmartDev3 team is like family to us now, and knowing that any service or skill that Big Mother needs is scalable almost on command is a very powerful thing any startup can have, so come have at it with Big Mother, join the “win-win” design revolution and buidl!
If you’re building a web3 project, blockchain or even an app, SmartDev3 is the easiest, least expensive, trusted way to cultivate your project team and it’s a big honor to present SmartDev3 to the world alongside Big Mother’s other startups.
